1. Visit the Neon Museum
Learn about the history of the hotels and of Las Vegas at the Neon Museum. The Neon Museum is the largest public collection of neon billboards. A volunteer takes you along the old signs of the hotels and tells you about the rich history of the hotels. Try to make a reservation for a time when it is just getting dark or when it is already dark. These are the times when the neon billboards come into their own. That may not seem very exciting, but it is really fun: you never look at it the same afterwards. Over the years, various neon billboards have been restored and put away again along the Strip and Freemont Street.

2. Fly Slotzilla down Fremont Street
The Slotzilla is a unique funicular that runs above Fremont Street. You fly right over this busy street in downtown Las Vegas. The best time to fly is during the Fremont Experience. The Fremont Experience takes place once an hour in the evening. During the experience they make use of the LED lighting that hangs over Fremont Street like a kind of roof and a specific theme is highlighted. In the week of Muhammad Ali’s death, for example, a beautiful tribute was paid to The Greatest.
In Fremont Street you will also find the necessary performers and performances. Please note that on the first Friday of the month, you must be over 21 to access Fremont Street due to First Friday. Fremont Street used to be a thoroughfare where cars were also allowed to drive. However, the entrepreneurs have bought the street and turned the highway into a wide pedestrian street, which makes the visit nice and pleasant!

3. Visit a show!
Las Vegas is the entertainment city of the United States. For example, there are 8 shows of Cirque du Soleil. Right now one of those is the show One about Michael Jackson which is one of the newer shows. Complete your evening by enjoying dinner in advance at one of the delicious restaurants in Las Vegas such as Rose, Rabbit, Lie or Mister Chow. At Rose, Rabbit and Lie they provide entertainment from singers to tap dancers while at Mister Chow the food is the focus. Let yourself be pampered with the best that America has to offer.
Not a fan of Cirque du Soleil? Then see when your favorite artist is performing in Las Vegas. There are several Dutch DJs who perform, but of course also big names such as Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Britney Spears. Have another nightcap? Then choose a nightclub. They go on in Las Vegas until the wee hours. Remember to leave your camera at home at night. You’ll have to leave it somewhere else.

4. Strolling along the strip
Walking along the Strip and Freemont Street is best when the lights are on at night. What you see on the Strip is difficult to describe, you have to see and experience it yourself. Take in the world famous fountains of the Bellagio on your route. An absolute must see when walking the Strip. At night, the atmosphere of Las Vegas comes into its own. Also step inside to enjoy the attention that hotels have paid to the inside of the hotels. Some hotels are much more special on the inside than on the outside.

5. Look higher
Don’t want to stroll but still want to see everything? Get on the second tallest Ferris wheel in the world: the High Roller. At the moment there is only the Ferris wheel in Singapore that is higher than the High Roller. At the highest point you have a beautiful view over the Strip. In 30 minutes you are around, during the day he hardly even seems to move. Combine it with a ticket for the happy (half) hour and enjoy a cocktail or other drink during the flight.
Don’t feel like riding a Ferris wheel and do you actually want to experience the fountain show of the Bellagio from above? Then opt for the Eiffel Tower Experience in Paris. The Eiffel Tower has been recreated here. The elevator takes you to the top. Once at the top, you have a beautiful view of the fountains of Bellagio and the rest of the Strip from the vantage point. The Eiffel Tower is closer to the Strip than the High Roller and therefore gives you a better view of the Strip, but it is not possible to order a nice cocktail above and it misses the great experience of the Ferris wheel.
